FULL BIO
Lorraine Wright MBE is a British-Ghanaian speaker, moderator, real estate educator, consultant, and founder of Diaspora to Home, a platform dedicated to helping the diaspora safely and profitably invest in Ghanaian property.
With over a decade of experience navigating Ghana's real estate market, Lorraine has become a trusted authority for diaspora investors seeking to build wealth and secure their legacy back home.
She first started her career in property as an early graduate sales consultant at the real estate firm David and Gibbs in London. After personally starting her investment journey in Ghana in 2013, she turned her own woes, financial losses, experiences, and hard-learned lessons into the foundation for the work she does today—helping others in the diaspora navigate the challenges of buying property in Ghana.
Alongside her property work, Lorraine has built a distinguished corporate and technology career. A BSc Information Systems graduate of Brunel University, she held early roles at Volkswagen, Accenture and Smart Technology Solutions before spending over a decade as a Director at UBS in Zurich, leading multi-million-CHF digital initiatives. She later served as the UK Regional Lead for Meta's (Facebook) Community Accelerator Programme, supporting community leaders to scale their impact, and was Head of Sales and then Advisor at Grow For Me, a Ghanaian agritech start-up.
Her entrepreneurial drive emerged early: in 2009 she founded University Gospel Choir of the Year, combining her love of music with a commitment to youth empowerment—work for the community that underpins her MBE.
Lorraine is also a content creator, sharing valuable property investment tips across social media, and the author of several eBooks published on Amazon. She is the creator of the Roots to Revenue masterclass and an award-winning speaker, known for her practical, insightful advice on property investment, Airbnb income strategies, and navigating complexities in Ghana.
She is particularly passionate about collaborating with other professionals in the landscape to showcase what Ghana has to offer to her global audience, helping them discover both the opportunities for investment and the rich cultural experiences the country provides.
As a prominent voice within the diaspora community, Lorraine is a celebrated speaker, moderator and host.
Lorraine specialises in bridging the gap between Ghana and the diaspora in the realm of business and investment opportunities. She runs her Strategic Advisory practice, offering comprehensive guidance for property investment and business expansion in Ghana.
Lorraine holds an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford and has spent over 15 years working in corporate roles at Accenture, UBS, and Meta, in the UK and Switzerland alongside her passion Diaspora to Home.
